I made an AI presentation maker

I suddenly became really really motivated when I saw this post by Andrew Wilkinson:

I frantically started coding for 2 days and came up with something like this:

It lets you chat with your slide deck. It’s pretty cool I think. It’s far from finished. I know the slides look ugly as hell. But I can make it beautiful. I’m thinking to generate the background automatically with image gen.

I also want to add more customization options for the text etc, and more “types” of slides.

I think in another 2-3 days I could get a working mvp up and running.

Then I properly checked out the competition and I got like super demotivated like OK this clearly already exists. Like Gamma etc. And lots and lots of shitty ones. Honestly now I recovered a bit and I think for example Gamma is pretty good but nothing that I can’t do in a few weeks. So there is clearly an opportunity here.

The question is whether it’s something worth pursuing.

I’m pretty sure I need to THINK less and just DO more. I tend to overthink now that I’m a bit older. When I was 20 I’d just gung ho GO for it. Maybe I should ignore that voice in my head that says “do you really want to spend so much time on this?” and just do it. But maybe I should just throw it online in its rough form and not overoptimise and just let people play with it.
